Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

The Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Akshaya Institute of Pharmacy is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program designed to equip students with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences and practical skills required for a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout the program, students will delve into various subjects such as Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)

The Diploma in Pharmacy program at Akshaya Institute of Pharmacy is a comprehensive two-year program that focuses on providing students with a strong foundation in pharmacy practice. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and practical training, students will gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy. The program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to work as competent pharmacy professionals, supporting registered pharmacists in various healthcare settings. Graduates of the D.Pharm program can pursue careers as pharmacy technicians, hospital pharmacy assistants, pharmaceutical sales representatives, and other entry-level positions in the pharmaceutical industry.

PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy)

PharmD  (Doctor of Pharmacy)
A professional course of six years that concludes in a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. This course is special because it integrates contextual research with the development and use of advanced clinical pharmacy skills. This programme places a strong emphasis on managing diseases systemically and problem-based, which forms the foundation of the educational study plan. The PharmD programme consists of five years of academic study in  class rooms andhospitals,aresearchproject,andaninternshiplastingoneyear.Pharma cotherapeutics, clinical research, pharmacoepidemiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology,Pharmacoeconomics,Biopharmaceutics,pharmacokinetics,biostatistics and research methodology, clinical pharmacy, hospital and community pharmacy, clinical toxicology, are among the core subjects


Eligibility:

i.    Candidates who have passed two-year P.U.C. examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University established by law in India with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subject long with one of the following subjects Mathematics or Biology or P.C.M.B. Minimum eligibility should be based on the aggregate of P.C.M. or P.C.B. The candidates shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics individually also.
ii. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course from institutions approved by Pharmacy Council of India U/S12 of Pharmacy Act,1948, are only eligible to be admitted to first year Pharm. D course.
